On Wednesday, the 144 meter beauty of a superyacht Topaz, emerged from her floating shed at Lurssen's Aumund yard. Not much is yet know about Topaz, due to contractual agreements, not even her exact length, but it is rumored to be the second largest yacht built by the German yard. It has been given on good authority that she has a length of 144 meters and a beam of 21.50 meters, with a gross tonnage of 11,589. Superyachts.com reports that Topaz may ring in as the sixth largest yacht in the world for 2012. Delta has announced that their 151-foot motoryacht, referred to as Project Monarch, has sold. The asking price was $31,9000,000. They stated that the sale closed quickly and smoothly thanks to the team of Caterpillar Financial Services Corp and Rick Obey of Marine Consulting in New York.
