A new vision for the future, Ra focuses on the maximum pleasure of seaside living. Named after the
Egyptian sun god Amun-Ra, the yacht explores transformability of space and interactions with light to
reinforce the connection with and heighten the beauty of its maritime environment. Ra exemplifies the
balance between public and private as the hierarchy of living spaces hosts fewer decks with larger volumes, creating more dramatic and usable environments. The main deck is a vast, multifunctional area that transforms for informal living or formal entertaining. Elevating all the guest suites above the main deck offers more secluded and prestigious accommodations with phenomenal views.
Innovative proportions between hull and superstructure plus the carefully crafted balance between hard and soft lines create a dynamic form that is instantly recognizable. Transparency through materials and transformability through structure define the visual drama of Ra and offer a more sophisticated approach to the connection between inside and out, encouraging users to gather, relax, and enjoy their surroundings.

Ra utilizes the Alsphere Displacement Gliding hull shape for minimized resistance and increased
seaworthiness. Because most of the displacement occurs in the keel, the unique form dramatically lowers rolling and slamming amplitudes while increasing stability and obtainable speeds. Lower resistance leads to a substantial reduction in fuel and operating costs as less power and equipment is required compared to traditional displacement hull forms. The design also significantly reduces wash, thus minimizing the yacht’s impact in environmentally sensitive locations.
Designed for now, Ra makes extensive use of cutting edge energy transformation and delivery systems. The diesel-electric hybrid propulsion package provides proven, reliable, and green technology. Azimuthal drives offer silent and clean propulsion in harbor while the same motors underway ensure vibration free travel. An advanced heat scavenging system and photovoltaics embedded in the superstructure provide all the needed energy for hospitality loads.

Placing the owners suite on the same level as the bridge indicates this as the position of control. The full width suite has separate areas for work, play, and rest. A private terrace resides aft of the bedroom. The suite can also be accessed directly from the helipad. The bridge revolves around a new concept of intuitive and gestural driven interfaces. This creates a singular, connected experience for the navigator to increase safety and the enjoyment of driving while reducing pilot error.

Five guest staterooms easily accommodate and reflect the varying tastes of each user. An ethos of fitness and wellbeing are present in the onboard gym, spa, and game areas. The library lounge offers multiple opportunities for relaxation. Separate crew and guest access among all levels also ensures privacy.
The main living deck hosts multiple opportunities for social interaction. Uninterrupted views and an intimate connection to the sea are evident with the bulwarks down while privacy and security are achieved when they are raised. A central, glass walled elevator links the decks physically and visually as well. Natural light streams in through the elevator shaft and additional skylights to illuminate the interiors.

Besides the advanced energy generation systems, the yacht is also equipped with the latest
communications and entertainment equipment. Smart phones are utilized to control individual comfort and entertainment systems, allowing personal and on-demand convenience for guests. Plus, access ways and systems are fingerprint protected while drop down ballistic panels, Long Range Acoustic Devices, and water cannons protect the yacht from waterborne threats.

Ra explicitly utilizes new design solutions, technical equipment, and materials to maintain a very low impact on the environment. Ra conforms to RINA Green Star plus Secure Yacht regulations, ABS and MCA large yacht codes, and IMO Alternative Design initiatives. Precise systems are used for handling and monitoring all aspects of the yacht. The Secure Yacht certification adds additional security measures and procedures to establish safety and protection to the owner, guests, and yacht at all times.
The IMO Alternative Design initiative maintains high safety and security standards while allowing Ra to
retain its unique and innovative architecture. Carbon offsets will also be purchased to equal the minimal
amount of carbon dioxide produced, resulting in a truly sustainable and carbon neutral vessel.
In all, Ra represents a visionary approach to the connections between luxury, comfortable living, and the nautical atmosphere.
