(Riverhead, NY-  February 26, 2010)

The 14th Annual Riverhead Moose Fluke Tournament has been scheduled for Saturday, July 24, 2010.  The tournament, which raises money to assist abused children, will be held at The Riverhead Moose Lodge Marina, 51 Madison Street, Riverhead, NY.  Last year's tournament hosted 38 boats with 130 anglers with 22 in the Junior Division.  The tournament has an Adult Division as well as a Junior Division (less than 16 years old).   Anglers must have a boat or if you don't have a boat invite a friend with a boat to participate as your guest. Kayakers are welcome.

Tournament Director, Capt. Ray Kelly, said "I would like to see more adults bring children this year.  It is a fun day for a great cause.  There will be loads of raffle prizes and the delicious Moose Lodge Chicken BBQ.  The top raffle prizes to date are a FREE Master's Course with a towing endorsement (value $900.00) donated by The Captain's School of Long Island of Calverton, NY and a Rod & Reel Combination valued at $501.00 East End Bait & Tackle in Hampton Bays, NY.  Sea Tow Eastern Long Island of Southold, NY always sponsors the tournament by donating $350.00.  I would like to thank the anglers that participate and the businesses that sponsor the tournament by donating prizes or money."  This year, the tournament raised $3,100.00 for The Suffolk County Child Advocacy Center which assists abused children.  Capt. Kelly hopes to top that amount next year.  The tournament is looking for a sponsor for the Tournament T-shirts and the kayak that will be raffled off this year.  For more information on participating or sponsoring the tournament check www.adventuresinfishing.com or call 631-525-7987.
