Specialist Gosport boatyard Endeavour Quay has welcomed S.Y. Yali today as she returned to her original birthplace. The 77 foot (23.5m) ketch, originally christened Kathleen, was built at the Camper & Nicholsons’ yard in 1925 and today made use of the modern day facilities now in place, namely the 180 tonne boat lift. It was all hands on deck as the Endeavour Quay team including Operations Director Mark Bowden and Boatyard Manager Tim Newell aided the 5.4m wide vessel safely into the hoist before she was lifted for a keel inspection.
